Being a licensed professional and know what I know now, I can say getting life insurance is a true show of our love for our family after we pass away . Or God forbid, get seriously sick and use up all the savings ( supposed to be left for our family) at the last stages of our lives. And God willing if everything goes well, that life insurance will add a tax free cash to the savings we had planned to leave behind for our family!

Flood insurance is just an annoying expense when the sun is shining! But we thank the agent who helped us get it after the flood! Same is the feeling to get life insurance when we are young and healthy and regret not getting it or paying too high premiums in our later years of life.
Sometimes our prayers are answered and we never experience a flood situation in our lifetime! But life insurance is a definite payment to our loved ones after we die.

One of my mentors said something to me when I started which I understand now knowing what I know now. He said, always remember that we are only one doctor's visit/one prescription away from being uninsurable and so as a licensed professional, it is our job and moral duty to convey the best possible information and guidance.
