Here’s some cool insight on how we made the Liberty eagle lens.

there is a very interesting piece of architecture off of Oakland, which is actually a historic art deco building. On the front is a beautiful stone motive of an eagle clutching lightning bolts.

I actually re-drew the eagle in two dimensions and added shading/simplified it to my own design.

Using the shading, I created a depth map in three dimensions for modeling, and cleaned up the model and adjusted it to get the final outcome!!

He did a great job translating that drawing I made. Glad to have you a part of the project, Homie!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

From Manitowoc to Motown…

This last week was a blur! Really wish I took more photos at the but I guess I’ll chalk it up to living in the moment!! Talked to a lot of cool people and old friends. shout out to Taylor for the free ticket!

Detroit has a lot to offer if you know where to look, met a lot of cool over there. Regardless of the politics, I know additive manufacturing can help lower costs for producing in America, and it was interesting to see what people had to show.

sent me a batch of a shirts me and created: The Hog Oni T shirt, little bit of Japan, little bit of Ed Roth. Quite the mashup.

I did the drawing and he did the printing. 💪💪 check out the podcast we did together and if you see me in Milwaukee, ask for a shirt. I’ll be spreading them around to the homies 🫡

let me scan a evo frame he had laying around..
I needed some frame geometry for my own personal project and we have decided to share it with other people interested in building something for themselves/ or interested in building parts.

These scans are accurate to full scale, making it easy to develop new bike concepts or new products by building off of this scan data.

Included is two files over email:
One sportster frame without swing arm
One sportster frame with swinging arm and shocks ( I need to measure, but they look shorter then stock )

I will also include the engine scan for $75 altogether.

Well, this weekend, and probably this whole month felt like it flew past at the speed of light.

I still haven’t gotten time to take proper photos of everything we made for the 😅 but we are getting ready to list of stuff online shortly.

Really would like to thank Warren jr and .like.a.dream For letting me use the shop space and giving me the opportunity to design some products for such a legendary group. Those dudes didn’t limit any design direction and really just threw me the keys to the car and let me drive wherever creatively, and that was super dope.

Also want to thank for taking photos and posting and thank for helping out with paint stuff and the rest of the guys in the shop who let me use the weld tables ( hope I didn’t get in the way too much)

I still have much work to do on my end, catching up with product photos and making listings, and also making sure that I include all the other people (believe me, there’s a lot of them) who helped along the journey when we get to specific products posting and tell the whole story.

Arron is currently building a super cool bike for his young son. So far he’s collected a lot of different pieces across the world, and I am grateful to be a part of that build. Reminds me a lot of my first experiences with motorcycles, which were introduced to me through my father, I feel very grateful to have people around me who encouraged my creativity and looks like Arron is fixing to do the same thing with his son.

There is much to be thankful for.

I am thankful for the multiple foundries that have supported my ideas and actions.

I am thankful for the entities and people who have supported my professional work with collaborations or helping me get leads.

I am thankful for the artists, designers, sculptors, machinists, welders, patternmakers, historians, motorcycle people and business folks, Who have taught me how to be the generalist I am today.

and especially thankful for my friends and family and loved ones. Looking forward to this year with more energy and opportunities.

A customer approached me recently needing a redesign of an existing casting for an automotive bracket. Customer did not have original patterns or CAD but supplied a part for measurement.

The original bracket was remeasured from scan data and changes were made per customer specification.

Then a prototype pattern was made for casting a loose part in sand so the customer could check the part in the desired alloy before making final patterns.. extra .100 added on surfaces for spot facing.
