One highlight of the day was the s***t target practice experience on the range. For many, it was a first-time adventure, while others found a chance to reconnect with their masculine energy amidst the divine feminine.

Following the range, we enjoyed a delicious meal that showcased the ranch’s warm hospitality. The thoughtful food was complemented by meaningful conversations about building businesses, balancing entrepreneurship and motherhood, and sharing lessons learned. Moments of recognition filled the air, as nods and smiles conveyed shared experiences. These conversations flourished in an environment where everyone felt comfortable and unhurried.

The women at this event made it truly special. Each participant contributed her unique perspective and energy, fostering genuine connections. By the end of the day, new relationships were formed, and collaborations were already being discussed.

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the Funded Female Founders Summit in San Francisco, a gathering of founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders focused on supporting women building and scaling companies.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, I keep thinking about one thing that stood out to me in that room…the future of entrepreneurship is deeply collaborative. 💪🏽

A few takeaways that stayed with me:

🎤Access matters. When women founders are in the same room with investors and decision-makers, opportunities expand. Rooms like this are how networks and funding change.

🌱Women are building across every industry. From AI and tech platforms to community-driven businesses and impact ventures, women are not just participating in innovation, we’re shaping it.

🙋🏽‍♀️Community accelerates growth. What struck me most wasn’t competition. It was the willingness to share lessons, connections, and support.

As a business advisor, seasoned entrepreneur and founder of FemThrive, this is the work that fuels me; helping women entrepreneurs build businesses that are not only profitable, but sustainable and aligned with the lives they want to lead.

Because when women build thriving businesses, entire communities benefit.

The night I realized my business was costing me my dream of becoming a mom, everything changed...

I remember driving to our annual gala at the Airbnb HQ in San Francisco in December 2019, pouring rain, 300 guests expected in attendance, and my mind racing with a thousand details.

At that point, I was working over 60 hours a week building Girls Leading Goals, the company I’d poured my entire heart and life into.

What people didn’t see was this: on the way to the event, I had an appointment at the fertility clinic. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for two years, and this was our third IUI attempt.

To my surprise, the doctor told me the egg that had been there days before had disappeared. There was nothing to fertilize.

I sat in my car afterward and cried.

That moment changed everything. I realized that working this hard, even for something I loved, was costing me the life I wanted. It was costing me my health, my peace, and most importantly my dream of becoming a mom.

So I made a decision.

I was going to rebuild my business so it could run without me. Over the next year, with the help of a business coach, I learned to let go of control, empower my team, and create freedom - one of my deepest core values.

I worked fewer hours, led with trust, and focused on impact over action.

Eight months later, with the help of a holistic fertility doctor, we conceived naturally. 💫

That experience taught me what I now teach other entrepreneurs:

You can build a successful business and a fulfilling life.

You don’t have to choose between purpose and peace.
