Replaced the decking and stairs and handrails on this one.
I'm gonna miss working here with the canopy tent and the water mister and the free drinks.
Working for pals spoils ya!

I thought I had an easy fascia board replacement.
Took off the metal trim coil and had mulch rain down on me.
Hollow columns used for supports.
Used 6x6 fpr replacement columns. Wrapped those with 1x8's.
Framed out the tops and used vinyl to mimic the trim coil that was there.

Homeowner's needed a wheelchair ramp and wanted to go off the front porch and make a turn.
I suggested an addition to the side of the porch and coming off the side at a slight angle to meet the concrete walkway.
I think it turned out pretty darn good.

If your carpenter pieces in support posts, fire them immediately!!! All that does is create a pivot point on a structural post.
Been dodging rain clouds this week, but it brings the cooler temperatures. Got this thrown together before it opened up this afternoon.
A few more hours and I would've had it done.

A lot of homeowners don't know that their expansion joints need to be replaced to prevent their driveways from cracking.

If you're looking at manufactured flooring, this stuff is the best.
Even with several subfloor repairs, this was a minimally invasive process.
The finished product speaks for itself.

Quick and easy portico upgrade with some cedar shake shingles...say that five times fast!

Vinyl is final, paint ain't!

Did several repairs to wooden trim. I try to use vinyl as much as possible, sometimes treated wood has to do.
Either is better than the finger jointed builder spec stuff that most houses have on them.

Don't get too many opportunities to flex my finish work, but I think this turned out pretty good.
Got it done just in time to hang those little stockings!
