October 1 marks the start of Gaucher Awareness Month with 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆, created to raise awareness of Gaucher disease while recognizing the individuals and families whose lives are shaped by this rare genetic condition.

Living with Gaucher disease can mean managing ongoing symptoms, treatment, and healthcare needs over many years. As Carrie and Rachel share, access to financial assistance can help ease some of the stress that comes with affording necessary care and allow individuals to continue receiving the support they need.

Accessia Health’s Gaucher disease Patient Program is currently open for applications, offering eligible individuals financial assistance for qualifying healthcare expenses such as medication and provider copays, health insurance premiums, medical expenses, and treatment-related travel.

September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the experiences of people living with blood cancers and connect individuals and families with resources that may help. 🩸🎗️

For those living with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), the ongoing costs of medication and treatment can add significant financial strain. Accessia Health currently has funding available through our CML patient assistance program to help qualified individuals with eligible healthcare expenses.

Patients like Tabitha and David have shared how financial assistance helped ease worries about affording medication and continuing treatment, and their experiences highlight the difference access to financial support can make while managing CML.

Through our 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 approach, eligible individuals may receive flexible financial support for qualified healthcare expenses, including medication copays, insurance premiums, travel related to treatment, and other medical costs.

Our 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 day on Capitol Hill gave patient advocates the opportunity to sit down with congressional offices and share firsthand perspectives on the challenges people living with rare and chronic conditions can face when accessing and affording care. Elevating these experiences is an important part of Accessia Health’s advocacy work and our efforts to ensure patient perspectives are represented in healthcare policy conversations.
