nationals looked a little different this year, doing two back to back but both had they’re own outlooks. one being on the assisting side, being the person that the kids look up to, the role that everyone in that convention strives to be. to then being on the teacher side, being the person to make sure that every kid is ready for they’re moment to shine, cheering them on for they’re wins and comforting them for the losses. i wouldn’t have done it any other way. (maybe invested in more advil but oh well)

there’s so many people that i have to thank so bare with me…

firstly i want to thank my amazing studio and mentors Stars Dance Studio for not only trusting me with leaving in the middle of nationals prep, but for guiding me and believing in me throughout this whole season while i was constantly working inside and outside of the studio, i can’t thank you guys enough for all that you do and i know that this will always be forever type of thing. this entire season there were so many ups and downs and to see it all pay off this week made it so much more rewarding!

and thank you to Angel De Armas Salabert for being the light in serious situations, there have been so many times this past year where i’ve laughed to the point where my stomach hurts because of how unhinged you tend to be. thank you for all of the knowledge you’ve given me and for always keeping it real and genuine with me, i love you! (FEELINGS!)

to all of the kids that i set work on this year inside and outside of the studio, thank you for allowing me to share my knowledge with you. wether it was your first time or your last time stepping on that stage, i couldn’t be prouder of all of you. this was the first year where i choreographed so much i thought i was gonna run out of ideas or moves, but you guys keep me on my toes and inspire me so much that every idea felt new, and every move felt different, if instagram had more space i’d thank each and every one of you for allowing me to be on your dance journey, i love all of you and i can’t wait to work with everyone next season!

to all of the The Dance Awards teachers and directors, thank you for always making nationals the highlight of my summer. coming here for the
