Thank you to everyone who supported me in this campaign to improve our local schools. While yesterday’s results weren’t what we hoped for, I am incredibly proud of all that we accomplished together. We built a movement focused on strengthening our schools, our communities, and creating a better future for all of our children.

The feedback I received from the thousands of doors I knocked on was inspiring, even if the results didn’t reflect it.

To my team, volunteers, donors, supporters and voters—thank you for your belief in this vision. While I won’t be joining the School Board, I will continue to fight for the changes our schools and neighborhoods need. Let’s keep pushing for a better future for our students and our community. This journey is far from over, and together, we’ll continue to make a difference.

Now, I’m going to take much-needed break, but I’ll be back and ready to keep working for the change we all want to see in Miami-Dade County.

After a weekend packed with events, I feel completely recharged and ready for the final stretch. The energy at yesterday was off the charts! I spent the day at South Dade Regional Library with voters, friends, and inspiring community leaders like President Harold Ford. I even had an impromptu reunion with Tamia Spells, one of my former students at ! pays dividends! It is a powerful way to make your voice heard just a little louder and reminds everyone around you to go in and cast their ballot before it’s too late! Miami-Dade, let’s keep it going! Early voting is open until November 3rd at 33 sites across the county—when we vote, we win! 🗳️

The countless hours I have spent connecting with my neighbors and gaining their support mean the world to me! Every yard sign out there is a reminder of the incredible community we’re building in District 7.

If you make me your next school board representative, I promise to live up to all of your expectations, continue to listen to your concerns, and work tirelessly to ensure our schools are the best they can be for your children. Thank you for standing with me as we work toward a brighter future for our students and our entire community!

Had such an amazing morning yesterday at in South Miami! ☕️ Besides enjoying some delicious cafecitos and pastelitos, I got to meet the incomparable Ileana , a true trailblazer! She was the first Hispanic woman ever elected to Congress, and the first Cuban-American, among many other firsts! As a fellow educator, Jewban, and now candidate for office, her life and career have been an inspiration to me and to countless others in our community. 🇨🇺

It was also a pleasure to hear from Madeline Pumariega, the first female President of , and Dr. Bryan Stewart (), the new President of . I look forward to working with both of you to deliver on the promise of education for our community! 🎓📚

A million thanks to the amazing Glenna Milberg for hosting, asking the tough questions, and providing a platform for us to share our experience, qualifications, and distinct visions for our school district.

As a former , I’ve seen firsthand how impact the resources and policies that shape our classrooms and our district. When you vote, you’re not just choosing leaders; you’re investing in our students' and our community’s future.

Throwback to the days of chalk dust and laughter in the classroom. Being a teacher was not just a job for me, it was a new found passion that became my entire life.
