This is the hotel where Michael Jackson made headlines in 2002 when he briefly held his baby over a balcony while greeting fans in Berlin. I’m standing at that same hotel right now.

Today meant more to me than people may ever understand.

A mother drove two hours just so her son could sit down and talk with me. He’s in the 12th grade… struggling in school, pushing back at home, and losing focus on where he’s headed. When we talked, he listened. Really listened.

I was honored to mentor him.

If there’s only one thing I accomplish in this life, let it be this, helping somebody change direction before it’s too late.

People traveled from as far as Virginia just to come see me. Maybe I’m not always treated like a star where I live… but I shine wherever people truly appreciate me.

And sometimes… that’s enough. ❤️
