Brightline, the high-speed rail service operating in Florida, is set to unveil its Orlando station as soon as this week. The station, located at Orlando International Airport, is the final stop on the rail service's planned expansion from Miami.

A new luxurious residential tower has been announced in Edgewater. Set to offer high-end living with stunning views of the city and the bay, the Villa Residences will be a 58-story tower with direct bay views.

Developed by One Thousand Group & Terra, the Villa Residences will rise around 677 feet above the ground, making it one of the tallest buildings in Miami.

Apple To Potentially Be Added To List Of Retail Openings at Miami World Center.

Apple & the Miami World Center team have reportedly come to an agreement to open up a store in the 300,000 square foot retail center that is being built in the heart of Downtown Miami. Miami Worldcenter’s lifestyle-driven “high-street” retail component is the centerpiece of the development’s 27-acre master plan, featuring approximately 300,000 square feet of retail, food and beverage, and entertainment space.

Miami Worldcenter’s development team has already completed 150,000 square feet of retail space, with another 130,000 square feet currently under construction and nearing delivery.

From Aventura to Downtown Miami in 17 Minutes! Brightline Says Aventura Train Service Will Begin Within Weeks.

The Cities of Aventura and Miami are just a few weeks away from Brightline beginning train service to and from the two cities - the company announced last week. With goals of easier, quicker, and safer transit, Brightline expects their trip time between downtown Miami’s Miami Central and Aventura to take about 16-17 minutes.

Miami River Dream Hotel Project Approved By Miami Voters.

Earlier this year, Dream Hotel Group had announced plans to open a 165 key, 10 story hotel as well as commercial/ retail space. Scheduled to ground break in 2022 and be completed by 2025, the project is being led by developer MV Real Estate Holdings in conjunction with Driftwood Capital, while Cube3 & Savino Miller Design Studios are managing the architectural design and landscaping of this project. As of this week, Miami voters approved this project and for development to begin later this year.

Brightline Soon To Begin Testing of 110 MPH Speeds.

The reality of heading from Miami to Orlando in less than 2 hours is getting closer to fruition. This Fall, Brightline is preparing to begin testing trains at 110 miles per hour, which would make this the fastest speed ever for a train.

The previous fastest speed these trains hit was just below 80 mph, and it was done last week on a route from West Palm Beach to Cocoa segment. Brightline has the goal of easy and quick transport throughout the state of Florida, with routes ranging from the already established Fort Lauderdale/ West Palm stations - with soon to be routes to cities like Orlando, Aventura, Boca Raton, and more.
