Today, I had the privilege of seeing my nephew, Gabriel Fernandez get sworn-in to the Town's Economic Development Committee. It's always an honor to appoint a resident to one of the Town of Miami Lakes' committees, but this one certainly is extra special. I'm proud to see him step up and get involved in our community. Miami Lakes thrives when residents dedicate their time and talent to making our town even better.

A special thanks to my friend, Representative .fabricio for hosting my son Nicholas for this year's Page and Messenger Program. He is so excited to help lawmakers like you, doing the business of Florida. The experience is going to be unforgettable.

It was an honor to be at the swearing-in ceremony for our new Sheriff, Rosie Cordero-Stutz. Mayor Dieguez, Vice Mayor Morera, Councilman Garcia and Major Gonzalez were representing our town. Great Miami Lakers Gloria Garcia and Lynn Matos were also VIP guests included in the celebration.

It was an honor to join Rabbi and Tzipoy Weiss tonight as we lit the menorah, a symbol of hope, resilience, and the power of community. Hanukkah reminds us that even in the face of challenges, the light of unity and faith can shine brightly. May this celebration inspire us all to bring more light and kindness into the world.
