During and post IMS, there’s a lot of talk of legends in electronic music and they don’t come much bigger than Robb McDaniels, a guy I can genuinely call a dear friend on and off the golf course.

What Robb has achieved over the past 9 years has been incredible - helping shape Beatport into the global cornerstone of electronic music it is today. A platform that continues to support and connect DJs, artists and fans all over the world.
For us at Toolroom, Beatport has been a huge part of the journey. From breaking records to championing new artists, it’s played a key role in taking our music from the studio to dance-floors worldwide and that relationship has only grown stronger during Robb’s time leading the company.

Robb has always had a real understanding of the culture and the people behind it, and that’s reflected in everything Beatport has built.

Excited to see him continue to shape the future in this next chapter, big respect as he steps into his new role as Executive Chairman at Beatport.

He may be terrible at putting but onwards and upwards to this REAL industry legend šŸ†

And massive congratulations to as the newly found CEO, we’re all buzzing to work with you into the future of Beatport and beyond šŸ™

After an amazing journey on KISS FM, it’s time for a new chapter as I move the show over to Kiss Dance.
Looking back, it’s been a really special run. Week in, week out, we’ve built something I’m incredibly proud of - a space to showcase the very best in house music, from established names to the next generation coming through. The support from all of you tuning in, sharing the music, and being part of the show has meant everything.

There have been so many standout moments over the years… records that went on to dominate dancefloors, guest mixes from artists I respect massively, and that feeling of connecting with a global audience through the music we all love.

But more than anything, it’s been about consistency and passion. Showing up every week and staying true to the sound.

I’m grateful for the time on Kiss FM it’s been an unforgettable chapter.

Now we move forward with Kiss Dance. Same energy, same commitment… just a new home.

Big love to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far šŸ’œ

The idea for Fool’s Paradise goes back to a moment riding my bike to work, listening to ā€œFool’s Paradiseā€ by Meli’sa Morgan. That was the spark.

Let’s be honest, starting a label now is a bit of a fool’s paradise—but it was something I had to do. The intention was simple: go back to my roots, focus on soulful house and disco, and create a platform for artists who might not otherwise get the recognition they deserve, using the knowledge and infrastructure we’ve built at Toolroom.

Since then, the label has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. The support, the music, the artists—it’s been a real success. More importantly, it’s stayed true to doing things with integrity, which if you know me means everything.

Saturday at fabric was incredible. Selling out a venue like that for our first show is a huge milestone, but what made it special was the atmosphere. A fully engaged crowd, smiling faces - it was just perfect.

It was a real team effort, as always - there is no I in team here. Huge thanks to Paul Gardner, Holly Frith, Mikey Whyte, Miles Shackleton and Greg Sawyer—the work behind the scenes doesn’t go unnoticed. And to all the DJs and performers who brought their identity and smashed it.

That sense of people coming together—from artists to crew to crowd—is exactly what Fool’s Paradise is about.

Seeing that community in action meant the most. A mix of people who’ve been part of the scene for years alongside a new generation, all sharing the same experience. There’s a nod to where we’ve come from, but it’s just as much about what’s next.

To see something that started as a simple idea on my bike turn into a sold-out show at fabric, with that energy, is something I’ll never forget.

We’ve got big plans ahead so watch this space. For now this is a moment to appreciate, thank you to everyone who made it happen.
