You've watched programs come and go. Posters go up, nothing changes, and after a while you tune them out. Every person on location knows the feeling. The crews that actually get better aren't buried in programs. They've got a few things that matter, coached every day.
Other high-consequence industries started connecting these dots years ago. The oil field is still catching up. Most catastrophes aren’t a broken part. They’re human error, a crew that couldn’t act as one.
Mark Lux flew for the Naval Special Warfare Command for 20 years before he came to ROPE, and he brought that lesson to the rig floor. The SSE who needs situational awareness before he gets hurt. The driller who needs the assertiveness to stop a job when his gut says stop. The crew that has to act as one when the pressure stacks up.
