Meridian High School

🎓 Big dreams start in the Freshman Academy! Ⓜ️

Our Freshman Academy Exploring Careers Team is kicking off a week of college preparation, helping our ninth graders explore the possibilities ahead!
From universities and community colleges to trade schools and career training programs, we want every student to discover pathways that connect their interests and talents to their future goals. It’s never too early to ask questions, set goals, and understand how today’s choices can open tomorrow’s doors.

We’re encouraging our Wildcats to dream big, explore their options, and take ownership of their futures. The journey begins now! 💙🐾

We’re so excited to see what Mrs. Keyes and her production team are creating! 📸💙 One day, they’re learning composition and framing, the next, they’re putting those skills into action!

The Den Media Co. crew stepped behind the camera to capture professional headshots for their fellow MHS students who are learning to operate the first school-based branch of First Mississippi Credit Union. 🏦

From student photographers to student bankers, our Wildcats are building skills, gaining confidence, and getting real-world experience right here at MHS! Ⓜ️💙

🌊Ⓜ️ SOUTH STATE PROUD! Ⓜ️🌊
Congratulations to William Witherspoon for representing Meridian High School at the South State Swim Championships! 🏊🏽‍♂️

Earning a spot on that starting block is an accomplishment worth celebrating! William competed with determination, represented our Wildcats with pride, and showed the growth and perseverance that this season has been all about.
Although his season ends here, he has so much to be proud of, and more to look forward to. Keep your head high, William, and keep making waves! Your Wildcat family is cheering you on! 💙🌊

💗Ⓜ️ MHS is going PINK on Friday, October 9th!
All students are invited to wear a pink top with school-approved uniform bottoms for our PINK OUT! 🎀

Let’s stand together to raise breast cancer awareness, honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and support those still fighting.
Wildcat Nation, wear your pink and show your support! 💗

❤️ Healthy Hearts, Happy Teachers! ❤️
Our Health Academy leaders surprised their teachers with a healthy snack on Friday as we continue encouraging heart-healthy habits at MHS!

The celebration may be over, but our commitment to heart health continues. Small, thoughtful choices each day help us build a culture of wellness, care, and support for one another.
Thank you to our Health Academy leaders for showing our teachers some love and keeping the heart-health momentum going! Ⓜ️❤️

📸 Learning to see things differently in Mrs. Keyes’ amazing class!

The Den Media Co. crew is putting creativity into focus! Through hands-on practice with digital cameras, students are exploring composition, framing, creative angles, and the rule of thirds.
From the classroom to locations around campus, they’re discovering how a fresh perspective can turn an everyday moment into a powerful story—and that a great shot begins before pressing the shutter!
