Did you know her hometown is named after Captain James Lawrence? His famous dying command during the War of 1812, “Don’t give up the Ship!”, still resonates in the heart of every Sailor today! As the second oldest city in the metro Atlanta area, Lawrenceville has a rich history of resilience and rebuilding.

LSSR Dircio consistently demonstrates the highest level of trustworthiness and dedication. Her exceptional work ethic led to her selection as Duty Section 4 and THU student staff leadership positions. She plays a critical role in our daily operations by managing administrative paperwork, validating track card binders, and grading INDOC exams.

Sailor in the Spotlight: YNSA Deonte Crutchfield

Let’s give a huge shoutout to our very own YNSA Deonte Crutchfield, proudly hailing from Hyattsville, MD!

YNSA Crutchfield joined the Navy to embrace a new challenge and test his leadership skills. Beyond his drive for personal growth, he saw the Navy as a fantastic opportunity to provide a strong, stable future for his daughter and his family.

Chosen for this spotlight by Mrs. Alawine, YNSA Crutchfield consistently sets an example for others to emulate. Every single day, he brings an incredibly positive attitude and outstanding military bearing to the classroom.

He is the true definition of a "team player." Not only does he actively participate, but he also fosters a healthy learning environment by going out of his way to assist classmates who might be struggling with the curriculum.
