The purpose of the Law Enforcement Explorer Program is to educate and involve youth in sheriff's department operations, interest them in law enforcement careers, and provide a positive interaction with law enforcement. This involvement develops a knowledge of sheriff's department procedures and establishes an awareness of the complexities of the sheriff's department service.
