New This Week!
The Nature of Disappearing by Kimi Cunningham Grant

Ever since Emlyn’s life imploded three years ago, she doesn’t let herself think about the past. She definitely doesn’t think about how she and her best friend, Janessa, don’t speak anymore. Nor does she think about Tyler, her ex-boyfriend, who she hasn’t spoken to since he left her half dead on the side of the road. But the simplicity and safety of the new life she’s built for herself shatters when Tyler shows up with the news that Janessa is missing. As the pair track Janessa’s path deeper into the wilderness, Emlyn begins to suspect that the woods are home to a darker truth — and that Janessa isn’t the only one in danger.

New This Week!
Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books by Kirsten Miller

In the small town of Troy, Georgia, Lulu Dean is on a mission to rid the public libraries of all inappropriate books — despite the fact that she’s never actually read any of the books she’s challenging. To replace the “pornographic” books she’s challenged at the local library, she starts a lending library in front of her house with Lulu-approved books. What Lulu doesn’t know is that a local troublemaker has stolen her approved books, removed their dust jackets, and replaced her library with banned books: literary classics, LGBTQIA+ romances, Black history, and Judy Blume novels, to name a few. As neighbors borrow books from Lulu’s lending library, they find not only their lives, but the lives of everyone in Troy, changed in unexpected ways.

New This Week!
How to Age Disgracefully by Clare Pooley

Lydia takes a job running the Senior Citizens’ Social Club, thinking it will mostly involve card games and sipping tea. Members of the Social Club, however, are not what she pictured. They look deceptively benign, but hiding secrets gets easier with the shield of age. When the city council threatens to sell the community center building, the Social Group needs to work together using, admittedly unorthodox, methods to have a chance to save the building. Bestselling author Clare Pooley’s newest book features an ensemble cast of quirky characters that tugs at the heartstrings.

New This Week!
A Good Life by Virginie Grimaldi (translated by Hildegarde Serle

Humor and passion coalesce in a story of two estranged sisters’ reunion in this beloved contemporary French novelist’s American debut. Emma and Agathe’s grandmother, Mima, was often their sole source of security and affection throughout their fraught childhood, and her country home (soon to be sold to new owners) provides a sentimental backdrop to the exploration of their pasts. Told in alternating first-person points of view and encompassing their lives from childhood to their current middle-age, Grimaldi uses the complicated bond of these sisters to examine themes of remembrance, reconciliation and healing.
