As many of you know, we lost an amazing police officer, man and friend way to soon in a tragic accident. Officer Bart Merrills heart was always in his community. He was inter-lakes middle/high schools first resource officer when my kids were there. Every student respected and trusted Bart as he quickly became our family. In honor of officer Merrill, Meredith Police Department is selling bike week tees, all proceeds will go to “toys for tots” which he was an avid supporter of. The tees are Men’s, Women’s and Women’s crops, they are pictured below. Please support Toys for Tots and Officer Merrill.

PLEASE HELP THIS BABY, he is only 8 weeks old and was viciously attacked by another dog. Old Dogs Go To Helen needs your help to save him. ❤️😢🐾

We have another desperate situation here.

This 8 week old puppy was brought in to the same vet today as Andy after suffering a massive dog attack. He has a broken jaw, punctures in his skull and sinuses. The vet called me and asked if we could try to save him and the board has approved to try. His name is Ares, and he needs a miracle, but we know we have those here because we see them in Andy. Andy had a chance, he deserves one too. He may need to lose an eye, but I’d rather that than have him be euthanized for no fault of his own. He’s only 8 weeks old. I don’t care if we also become old dogs and puppy’s that have been attacked with broken jaws go to Helen.

I need to get him straight to CAVES, but I know this will be another $10,000-$15,000 save. We want to try, but we need your help.

ATTENTION BOXER LOVERS

Granite State Dog Recovery has recently taken in 10 Boxer dogs as an emergency owner surrender into our shelter program. These babies are between the ages of 6 months and 3 to 4 years old. We had the privilege of getting to know all of the dogs and seeing their personalities shine. Boxers are known as the "class clowns" of the K9 community however, these 10 have not only been funny but so very loving and well behaved. Due to no fault of their own, 3 males and 7 females are now looking for their forever homes. Here are a few of our friends featured below.
GSDR is in the process of getting them all up to date with their vaccines, spayed, neutered and microchipped.

This is Gilbert this poor dog has been through hell please share and help us find him a home. He will be coming to us within a week from Carolina.

Gilbert-approximately 1 year old, neutered male, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, this boy is a sweetheart to everyone he meets including kids and other dogs. We do not know how he is with cats since we do not have any. He has a story to tell. We rescued him from an overcrowded county shelter, he was brought in after an evil person tied him to the back porch of an old abandoned house and set the front porch on fire and left him. After the firefighters came to the rescue they heard Gilbert howling and crying in the back and his angel rescued him.
