Merced Local Food Project

The Merced Local Food Project (MLFP) is a community-wide grassroots movement to empower people to grow their own food and create a strong local food system.

Begun in Summer 2015 through a multisector collaboration, the Merced Local Food Project (MLFP) is a grassroots organization with a mission to bring the Merced community together to make sustainably grown, healthy food available and affordable for everyone. By growing food within our city through community-wide partnerships, empowering people to grow their own food, and advocating for policies that support the local food system, the MLFP aims to holistically improve the community health.
