Thank you to everyone who visited us at the Merced Hmong New Year, our community survey was a tad bit long, but your voice matters so much to us & future programming in Merced! & we reached our goal of 30 completed community survey!❤️‍🔥 We truly appreciate your time & for that we’ll be doing three raffle drawings! We’ll post the winners soon. ✨

We had a blast getting to know you all & we wish you all a warm new year & rest this winter solstice. Shout out to our volunteer for getting ready with me before 6am; this wouldn’t be possible without you; thank you so much!🫶🏽

Practicing radical love and joy, we show up apologetically as a village to offer the resources we have to do what we can. We get to imagine what sustaining our work can do to transform and become our ancestors’ wildest dreams.

Hey! How are you?

We mean, how are you really doing?

To some extent, it feels like tides have settled after the special election, but we’re not ignorant to the anticipated strength of the incoming waves.

With that, we want to prompt you to take a brief moment to write your innermost thoughts in the effort of practicing radical care—for yourself, for your loved ones, and for your community.

We are reminded more than ever that self-preservation is key to community success and well-being but not at the cost of isolation. Practice radical care through your own intimate thoughts, and if you’re feeling brave, share those thoughts with someone you trust.

We can only be liberated if we are liberated together, and liberation needs radical care and love.

We took a break after the special election because—like so many organizers—we felt winded by the momentum of it all. As we wrap this year up, we continue to explore joy in what we’ve achieved together as a community.

We are reminded that this work can only be sustained with folks who are well-rested and actively practice radical care—which includes caring for yourself. Here are five quick ways you can practice self-care for the greater change. Thank you for being here with us. ❤️‍🔥
