Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 31st from 6:30 PM to 8 PM at the Merced County Library! We will be tabled on the second floor. Everyone is welcome and if you cant make it don't worry, submissions are available through our website (check link in bio) and DMs. Looking for short essays, comics, poems, multimedia art, articles, book recommendations, advice, social commentary, etc.
Basically any media or comments you may have, submit it! DM submissions are welcome and you can check out Volume 1 on our website.
This volume will focus on q***r grief. Q***r grief is expansive... it is not just a denial of certain attitudes and identities, but also a numbing state. Numbing, because, so many of us are not able to completely process it amidst the undercurrents of patriarchy, mental illness, and culture. Grief is symptomatic to being q***r in a bigoted world, a world that is secluded from emotional receptivity and a will to listen and tell each other's stories.
