African fashion for the African American and Africans in the diaspora
Sometimes the sad part of being a family caregiver is when you go over to just visit and spend quality time but you are now only viewed as the “worker on the clock” not a member of the family. So when you try to have a general conversation, you are rudely interrupted, and redirected to a chore, as if you are wasting time on the clock. So you learn to “stay away” until it’s your shift and you “leave after you’re done” because “they no longer value you”. And you slowly lose the family connection.
