A display case for an antique wooden wagon wheel hub. This display case has a mirror in the back giving it the appearance of have glass on both sides. The sides are lined with antique tool over a creamy crackle finish mat. The inside corners are embellished with a dark mahogany fillet with gold beading.
The box itself is made from a mohagony grained shadowbox and cap. It is made so that it can sit on an end table or entertainment center with the back exposed.
The customer, Mr. Frice purchased an additional engraved nameplate that is mounted to the front of the black cradle holding the wagon wheel hub in place.
This piece is particularly meaningful to Mr. Frice because it was recovered from the homestead of his grandparents in 1914.
