A big thank you to Boy Scout Emmett Ayala from Troop 88 for proudly placing a U.S. flag outside the Merced County Administration Building in honor of Memorial Day.
This meaningful gesture serves as a reminder of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

At the May 12 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Merced County Department of Public Health and UC Merced PACE program received a 2026 Engagement Award from the University Professional and Continuing Education Association for their jointly developed Community Health Worker program. The program trains health workers who will go on to serve communities right here in our region.
This partnership is helping build a stronger, healthier future for Merced County by investing in local healthcare professionals and expanding access to care where it’s needed most.
