If AI can answer, reason, explain, and create… does that mean it can actually think? Let's debate.
AI can be confidently wrong. The skill students need isn't just knowing how to use AI, but knowing when to question it.
The new school year is here, and there’s something else students are bringing into the classroom with them: AI.
GPTs, chatbots, AI agents, and other tools are already changing how students learn, research, create, and even complete their assignments.
So the question isn’t really whether students will use AI.
The bigger question is: Are we teaching them how to use it wisely?
At Kids In Technology, Inc, we believe the goal isn’t to let AI do the thinking for students. It’s to help them develop the thinking skills to question it, understand it, use it responsibly, and create with it.
That’s why we use our I.D.E.A.S. Framework:
Introduce. Demonstrate. Explain. Activity. Showcase.
Simple steps. Big thinking.
What do you think is the most important thing adults need to teach kids about AI right now?
Drop your answer in the comments. We would love to hear different perspectives.
AI Has Changed The Game.
Teaching digital citizenship has always meant helping students understand how to use technology safely and responsibly.
But AI requires us to think beyond how students use technology.
We also need to help students understand how technology can influence what they see, what they think, what they believe, and even how they feel.
That is where AI literacy becomes so important.
The question isn't only:
"What are kids doing with technology?"
We also need to ask:
"What is technology doing to our kids?"
That's the conversation behind the AI Momentum Minute with Jacquelyn Thomas

Every inventor, entrepreneur, engineer, scientist, and leader started somewhere.
They started as students.
The opportunities we provide students today can shape the possibilities they see tomorrow.
That's why investing in young people matters.
When students are encouraged to explore, create, innovate, and solve problems, they begin to see themselves differently.
They begin to believe that they can build solutions.
They can lead.
They can make an impact.
Today's students are tomorrow's innovators.
And the future is brighter when we prepare them for it.
