Climb with purpose. Memphis Rox Climbing + Community engaged DCA to reset and regain its unique position in the heart of Soulsville and globally in the climbing industry. We saw an opportunity to lower the barriers of participation and influence the intersection of climbing and mission to achieve business-based revenue, fund development, and usage goals. If you haven't yet watched Memphis to the Mountain on Hulu, here's your reminder. See more here: https://dcamemphis.com/work/memphis-rox/.

We create Storytelling | Please help us welcome Elise Higdon McKelvey, Chief Wordsmith at DCA.

Elise was born with a boundless natural curiosity, which, at the age of ten, took the form of a self-published neighborhood read by few and acclaimed by none. She’d glide in her rollerskates door-to-door for such scoops as “Jeannie Crenshaw says there’s a monster in her pool, but it’s really her boyfriend.” She still has a natural curiosity and creative spirit but has honed her writing skills a bit more since then.

With over 25 years of experience in both public and private sectors, Elise brings wordsmithing wisdom and a relationship-driven career to the DCA creative process. From U.S. Senate leadership in the Capitol to arts fundraising and program management on behalf of one of the city’s leading nonprofit funders, Elise carries a deep understanding of persuasive narrative development and organizational leadership.
