This Saturday, May 25th • 8am-12pm • Arkwings x will begin the first phase of our new, on-sight Buddy McEwin Memorial Putt Putt Course. ⛳️
Buddy was a long time Frayser resident and Resident Golf Pro of North Frayser’s David Crockett Golf Course. Buddy was a true gem to Memphis’s golf community. Known for his sense of humor and great storytelling, he was a dedicated advocate for the sport and taught many underprivileged youth to play. After a life of service to the Midsouth’s golf community, he played his final hole on Dec. 6th, 2007 after a four year battle with throat cancer. Crockett Course closed in 2021, but Arkwings is proud to continue Buddy’s mission of making golf accessible to all in and around the Frayser Community.
This project is spearheaded by Arkwings Board Member Devin, an artist, teacher, Urban Farmer & Gardner, screen printer, natural products producer, & more! This Saturday, volunteers will begin Phase1, which consists of 3 putting greens on the western edge of the Art Yard landscaped with native wildflowers, pollinators, and a butterfly sanctuary.
Would you play Putt Putt at a place that promotes mind, body & spirit wellness practices!?
