U.S. trucks consume an estimated 80.3 million gallons of fuel per day.
The current U.S. average on-highway diesel price is $5.639 per gallon, which is $2.163 higher than one year ago. β½π
That means the trucking industry is spending roughly $174 million more every day on fuel compared to this time last year.
If prices remain at this level, that becomes about $5.2 billion more per month and $63.5 billion more per year in added fuel cost. πΈ
That pressure eventually reaches rates, coverage, capacity, and carrier options. β οΈ
When operating costs rise, the cost of weak planning rises with them.
But, Landry Logistics helps shippers move through tighter market conditions by optimizing shipment planning, carrier selection, equipment fit, routing decisions, and communication from pickup through delivery. That control helps reduce costly gaps, avoid poor carrier matches, limit unnecessary delays, and keep shipments moving with fewer surprises. Every shipment is backed by vetted capacity, live tracking, clear updates, and clean PODs. β

Open deck freight gets expensive fast when the wrong trailer or carrier is booked from the start.
Landry Logistics moves open deck freight for shippers that need the right trailer, vetted carrier capacity, clear communication, and control from pickup through delivery.
From heavy equipment and construction materials to utility and power infrastructure freight, disaster response equipment, and jobsite cargo, Landry Logistics moves open deck shipments where equipment fit, securement, timing, and communication matter from the start. π§
Each load is matched around cargo profile, trailer requirements, securement needs, route exposure, pickup timing, and delivery window.
Through Landryβs carrier network, shippers get access to flatbed, step deck, Conestoga, flatbed hotshot, and oversized open trailer capacity, supported by live tracking, clear ETAs, real updates, clean PODs, and direct coordination. π
For open deck shipments that need the right equipment and tighter control, send the details to us and we'll handle it:

Shippers Are Competing for Fewer Reliable Trucks. ππ
Truckload costs in 2026 are now projected to rise 16β17%, driven by a tighter carrier base, higher insurance, maintenance costs, elevated diesel, and rising operating expenses.
Recent market data is already pointing in that direction.
DAT reported that truck posts fell 8% during the week of April 19β25, reaching the lowest Week 17 truck count on record, while load posts declined only 2%.
The Logistics Managersβ Index showed the same pressure in April, with Transportation Prices at 95.0 and Transportation Capacity down to 28.4, marking another month of shrinking available capacity.
Cass also reported that higher truckload rates are being driven mainly by supply constraints, including contracting equipment capacity and renewed driver shortage pressure.
For shippers, this pressure starts before the shipment even moves:
β’ fewer reliable carrier options
β’ more pressure on quick coverage
β’ tighter equipment availability
β’ less flexibility around pickup timing
β’ more risk with last-minute bookings
β’ greater exposure to weak carrier selection
In this type of market, coverage becomes harder to treat as a simple transaction. Shippers need better planning, stronger carrier relationships, and clearer communication before the shipment is already under pressure. That is where Landry Logistics works to create more control from the first call to final delivery. ππ¦

A missed delivery window, unclear ETA, wrong equipment, poor handoff, or delayed POD can turn one final stop into detention, rescheduling, extra labor, customer frustration, and service failures.
Landry Logistics supports last mile shipments with the control high-value shippers need at the final point of delivery.
We manage the details that protect the shipment and the relationship behind it:
β’ clear appointment planning
β’ vetted carrier coordination
β’ live tracking and real updates
β’ accurate ETAs
β’ equipment matched to the freight
β’ clean PODs after delivery
β’ communication before the issue becomes a delay
β’ support for retail, healthcare, industrial, event, and time-sensitive freight
For high-value freight, the final mile is not just a delivery. It is the last proof of ex*****on.
Landry Logistics helps shippers reduce missed windows, avoid weak handoffs, protect customer commitments, and keep freight moving with accountability from pickup to final POD. π

In logistics, the superheroes usually do not wear a cape...π¦ΈββοΈπ‘οΈ
Often, they look like a driver moving supplies before sunrise.
A dispatcher tracking a load through the night.
A logistics team making sure critical supplies reach the people who need them most.
Trucks move roughly 73% of Americaβs freight by weight annually.
That means behind many hospitals, recovery sites, stores, events, and emergency response operations, there is a truck keeping things moving.
At Landry Logistics, we know real heroes are often found behind the scenes. ππ
Happy National Superhero Day to the drivers, dispatchers, field teams, emergency crews, and logistics professionals who help keep America moving.

Preloaded trailers solve one of the most common shipping problems: freight is ready, but the truck is not. That gap creates dock delays, missed pickup windows, extra detention, and unnecessary pressure on warehouse teams.
Landry Logistics helps fix that with preloaded trailer programs designed to keep freight moving without waiting on a live load. Through trailer pool support, power-only ex*****on, and drop-and-hook coverage, shippers get faster pulls, steadier dock flow, and better control over appointment-driven freight.
Landry Logistics positions these programs around dock decongestion, retail compliance, surge coverage, and lower dwell time.

Urgent medical freight needs more than a truck and a fast dispatch. β±οΈπ‘οΈ
It needs temperature control that holds, timing that does not slip, and records that stand up after delivery.
Landry Logistics brings all three together: expedited ex*****on, cold-chain discipline, and documented proof. GDP-qualified partners, live temperature monitoring, deviation alerts, and post-delivery reporting keep high-risk freight under control from tender to POD.
We does not just move urgent medical freight. We protect the shipment while the clock is running. π
