Designers, have you ever been given a PDF file and wish you could make edits to its native design file?

For many years a plugin provider I've liked named Markzware has been making file conversion plugins for a wide range of software applications (ex. QuarkXPress to Adobe InDesign, PDF to PowerPoint and so on).

With Adobe's decision to force its users to rent their software, instead of owning it in perpetuity, Markzware was forced to change their business model to subscription as well. The result is that the cost of converting a PDF to Adobe InDesign will now cost you $199/yr (ouch) even if you only need to use it once.

If you are a Windows users and in the Graphics community, you may want to ignore the U.S. Government's instruction to delete QuickTime. While the video player has been abandoned by Apple, and is a known security threat, deleting the application could prevent you from using your Adobe Creative Cloud software.
