Just a quick paint job going down on the 27’ before it gets reassembled. Tonight we are laying some primer and Thursday we lay paint…

T-Minus 11 days before it goes in a trailer and heading to Menscer Motorsports and Fuel Tech.

Ballard Goes Racing in Klamath Falls, Oregon this weekend. Every year the Divebombers puts on a Drag Racing event on at the Benefit for the Basin Car Show. This year I took the 55’ Chevy Belaire, “Badman” and it took me a bit to remember how to race the Badman. It does not like off idle throttle romps. I ended up going out first Round, but we race every hour on the hour for the crowd. So we set up a grudge race between Divebomber Member Luke Aldrich in his 56’ Chevy Truck with a blown LS and the Badman, and I barely got him at the strip right before he blows by me. 120’ drags on a rough road is a great equalizer. Luke’s truck on a track is much faster than the Badman. 120’ drags don’t seem like it would be fun, but everyone that comes out racing, continues to come out every year.

Quick update as of now. Our engine for the 27’ T is a bit delayed, so we will miss out on Sick Summer and Big Sky race week unfortunately. But… we are still hammering away to get to Rocky Mountain Race Week! So if everything goes as planned, we will be heading out to Oklahoma at Tulsa Raceway June 23rd. Fingers crossed and as the car gets a bit further along, I’ll be doing a Facebook video of the updates!
