Florida has a Big Bend that’s a little different than us Texans are used to!
A little humid in the morning but it’s a pretty peaceful campsite.

Nothing like a flat tire and a tropical depression to kick off leg 2. All part of the journey.
Was a hot humid night sleeping but was good to get off the beaten path.
Maybe they should call this one River Road… 🙄
Never Ending Road Trip: Day 4 - Pedals and Planes
Gulf shores just a short distance to Pensacola. We spent most of the day in Gulf State Park riding e-bike up and down the boardwalk. Just before going in to storage mode we got to see where the Blue Angles practice and visit the onsite museum.
Never Ending Road Trip: Day 3 - Forts and Ferries
Mandeville (Fontainebleau) to Gulf Shores. A little extra driving today but a notable stop at Twelve Oaks for lunch. We then hit Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island and caught the ferry over to see Fort Morgan.
Never Ending Road Trip: Day 2 - Boudin and Bayous (This should be a national park)
Lumberton Tx to Mandeville (Fontainebleau). Our highlight was without a doubt the Atchafalaya Basin and in our opinion, it should be a National Park. Got to hold a baby alligator along the way and catch a killer sunset over Lake Pontchartrain.
Never Ending Road Trip: Day 1 - Turkeys and Trails
Tyler to Lumberton. We hit the iconic Mission Tejas and walked along the Camino Real. Our night-cap was meeting Ms. Gibblets the Turkey.

The truck is safety tucked away in Pensacola which wraps up an epic Leg 1 of the never ending road trip - East Coast addition.
From the bayou to the Blue Angels, our highlight had to be the Atchafalaya Basin.
Tampa is next!

Wild to think Big Bend has been right here in our back yard this whole time.
We already knew we loved the desert but there is something real special when you get to sprinkle in a little Texas. Not to mention, the good company.
