💙 **THANK YOU, TRAVIS A. MATHIS FUND!** 💙

Capable Kids Foundation is incredibly grateful to the Travis A. Mathis Fund for their generous $12,000 grant supporting our general operating expenses**.

General operating support is one of the most valuable investments a nonprofit can receive. It provides the flexibility and stability we need to keep our organization strong, sustain our programs, support our families, and continue creating opportunities for children, teens, and young adults with disabilities throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Last year, Capable Kids served 5,934 children and young adults with disabilities through adaptive sports, inclusive recreation, life skills, social activities, educational opportunities, and community events.

Behind every number is a child discovering confidence.
A family finding support.
A young person discovering new possibilities.
And a community becoming more inclusive.

Your generosity helps make those moments possible.

At Capable Kids, we create access where barriers exist. Your investment helps us continue removing barriers today while building a stronger foundation for the future.

Thank you for believing in our mission, investing in our organization, and helping us create a community where individuals with disabilities can live, learn, work, and belong.

We are grateful for your partnership and honored to have you alongside us in this important work.

Together, We Are Capable... Together, We Are Unstoppable. 💙

Family Testimonial

For the Lopez family, Capable Kids has been much more than a program—it has been a second family filled with love, friendship, acceptance, and unforgettable memories.
Viva Selena Lopez has proudly been a member of Capable Kids since 2016. Her journey began as a member of the CK Sparks Cheerleaders, and from that moment on, Capable Kids became a special place where she could grow, learn, and simply enjoy being herself.
Over the years, Viva has participated in so many wonderful activities, including proms, sports programs, Christmas parties, birthday celebrations, arts and crafts, the annual 5K and fun runs, and many other exciting events. Every experience has helped build her confidence, create lasting memories, and introduce her to amazing friends.
One of the greatest gifts Capable Kids has given Viva is the opportunity to meet incredible people, including Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Switzer ( #10) and Dr. Ana María Polo from Caso Cerrado. These moments inspired her and reminded her that dreams really can come true.
Viva truly loves everyone at Capable Kids. She has built beautiful friendships with other participants and treasures the kindness, patience, and encouragement shown by every volunteer and staff member. Their compassion has helped her feel accepted, valued, and loved every step of the way.
From the bottom of our hearts, our family wants to say thank you to the entire Capable Kids family. Thank you for believing in Viva, encouraging her, celebrating her accomplishments, and creating opportunities that have filled her life with happiness and purpose.
Capable Kids has touched our lives in ways words can never fully express. We will always be grateful for the love, support, and memories that will stay with us forever.

A Mother’s testimonial

The organization Capable Kids has made such a meaningful difference in my daughter Alexzia’s life. Since being part of their program, she has truly blossomed—becoming more kind, loving, and open to expressing affection, even welcoming hugs with comfort and joy. She has also grown more confident in front of the camera, something that once felt overwhelming for her. Most importantly, Capable Kids has greatly supported her socialization skills, helping her interact more openly with others and feel more at ease in different environments. I have seen such a beautiful improvement in her development, and I am so grateful for the positive impact they have had on her journey with autism.
