Reflections on Our Christmas Photo Tradition

My top Christmas model looked genuinely surprised when I told her that she no longer needed to participate in the photo shoot going forward. Her reaction made me pause and reflect on how much things have changed over time.

I fondly remember when the process was simple and spontaneous. I would visit the store, pick out the perfect dress, and we would capture the photo in that very outfit on the same day. The experience was straightforward and filled with laughter and joy.

These days, the photo shoot has transformed into something resembling a movie production. Now, there are delays, Amazon deliveries, multiple outfit changes, and scheduled hair appointments. Last-minute changes to our photo date have also become common, often due to her volleyball and tennis commitments.

With all these changes, I decided it might be time to end our yearly tradition. When I shared this news, my top Christmas model revealed something that made me laugh—her own Christmas tradition was to give me a hard time during the photo shoot. That playful confession brought a smile to my face. -Happy Holidays!
