Not many companies can say they operate over 3,100,000 square feet dedicated to manufacturing space. We can.
Across our nationwide network of facilities — spanning Ohio, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and now Abilene, Texas — IES Infrastructure has built one of the largest fabrication footprints in the industry. And with the Abilene acquisition becoming another Freeman Enclosure Systems location, our enclosure‑focused capacity grows even stronger.
This scale isn’t just about size.
It’s about capability, reliability, and the manufacturing strength required to support data center customers.
3.1 million square feet of purpose‑built capacity.
One clear goal: powering the systems that keep the world running.

When you’re one of the nation’s largest generator enclosure providers, growth isn’t optional — it’s essential.
Mike Rice, President of IES’s Infrastructure Solutions segment, shared his perspective on our latest expansion:
“The addition of this Abilene plant strategically expands our geographic footprint and adds significant capacity to support generator enclosure and related products manufacturing, where we see significant growth potential.
Combined with our existing fabrication plants in Ohio, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, we have established over 3,100,000 square feet of fabrication space to meet the evolving needs of our customers. We’re excited about the opportunities the Abilene facility offers to expand our capabilities.”
With the new Abilene facility operating under Freeman Enclosure Systems, IES Infrastructure strengthens its ability to support data center customers.
More capacity. More capability. More solutions for our customers.

The new Abilene plant will operate under Freeman Enclosure Systems, one of our IES Infrastructure subsidiaries, and will focus on our generator enclosure product line and related manufacturing products.
As one of the nation’s largest generator enclosure providers, IES Infrastructure aims to meet the increasing demand for high‑performance power solutions. This expansion strengthens our ability to support data centers.
