The Dipped Rusk

Every home bakery has its hurdles.
Mine recently came in the form of a toy tractor. 🚜
Fresh out of the oven and still warm and soft, my 3-year-old jumped on the opportunity to take his toy tractor for a spin. As it turns out, a fresh bake of rusks makes the perfect terrain.

I’ll be honest—I nearly cried when I saw it.
Now it’s one of my favorite bakery stories.
This is the reality of running a home bakery with littles: some days you make rusks, some days you make roads. 😜

season is in full swing, and we are having the best time meeting so many of you and introducing rusks to our community.

There’s something special about sharing a little taste of South Africa here in Georgia, one dipped bite at a time.

Tomorrow is an exciting market day as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a patriotic event at from 9am-1pm.
