This homeowner decided not to reinstall this old lightning rod, but it’s a cool piece of history. Some glass spheres were purely decorative, while others acted as tell-tales: in a strike, the glass could shatter, signaling it was time to inspect the rod and grounding. (They weren’t meant to light up like a bulb—myth busted.)

Another project wrapped up in St. Michael, MN! 🏠⚒️

We used The Catch-All roofing protection system during tear-off to keep the property safe and clean — protecting siding, landscaping, and windows throughout the process.

This homeowner had leaks at the roof-to-wall flashing, so our crew carefully cut into the stucco to install brand new step flashing, dormer flashing, and kick-out diverters to direct water away properly.

On the low-slope roof sections (below 4/12 pitch), we installed a double layer of synthetic underlayment, following Minnesota code requirements for added waterproofing and long-term durability. ✅

Now this St. Michael homeowner has a leak-proof roof that’s built to last for years to come!

Pulling a shingle sample for ITEL testing 🏠⚒️

This roof’s shingles were extremely brittle — the surrounding shingles tore a bit while we carefully removed one for testing. Once the sample was pulled, we installed ice & water shield over the repair area to protect against water intrusion before sending the sample off to ITEL for analysis.

Insurance has already covered all the metal components and the surrounding shingles, so this test will determine if the existing shingles are still available for repair — or if they’re discontinued, meaning a full replacement may be needed.
