Using our definition, the automation profession includes “everyone involved in the creation and application of technology to monitor and control the production and delivery of products and services”; and the automation professional is “any individual involved in the creation and application of technology to monitor and control the production and delivery of products and services.”

A boiler or steam generator is a device used to create steam by applying heat energy to water. Although the definitions are somewhat flexible, it can be said that older steam generators were commonly termed boilers and worked at low to medium pressure (1–300 psi or 6.895–2,068.427 kPa) but, at pressures above this, it is more usual to speak of a steam generator.

Our company owner has hands-on experience working at the California State University Maritime Academy in Vallejo, California, specializing in engineering. He worked overseas on ships, learning how to keep them operating smoothly. After college, our owner worked as an instrument engineer and PLC programmer in the combustion field for six years. Here, he developed an understanding of programming and automation before moving on to do integration programming for the food and beverage industry.
