A Small Act, A Big Impact
In January 2026, Lakeshore CAP launched a new initiative to deliver fresh produce and milk to network food pantries across our six-county service area. While the program has already made a difference for local families, one unexpected challenge quickly emerged: moving milk pallets weighing more than 2,000 pounds. Without the proper equipment, deliveries were difficult and created safety concerns for staff.
Thanks to a simple connection and an incredible act of generosity, that challenge became an opportunity.
Lakeshore CAP employee Tera Winnekens connected with her friend, Randy Rosinsky, who introduced Lakeshore CAP to Associated Solutions. After learning about the need, Associated Solutions graciously donated an electric pallet jack.
This generous gift is making a lasting impact. With the new equipment, our team can move heavy milk pallets safely and efficiently, ensuring fresh milk and other perishable foods reach our network food pantries and, ultimately, some of our community's most vulnerable neighbors.
What began as one conversation has helped strengthen food distribution across our region—a reminder that even a small act can make a big impact.
Since January Lakeshore CAP has delivered 87,895 pounds of fresh and perishable food.
Thank you, Associated Solutions, for helping us serve our neighbors safely and effectively!
