A simple mistake by another shop cost this customer a replacement engine. They performed an oil change and didn’t notice that the metal sleeve that goes in the center of the oil filter was missing before they installed the new filter “Suspect it stayed in the old filter”. The purpose of the metal sleeve is to prevent the oil filter from collapsing. The engine was starved for oil and caused the engine to start knocking. 08 Toyota Sequoia

All new timing components installed on this F-150. Complaint was a rattle noise on cold start up that lasted a second or two
