This survey is a statewide initiative led by the Department of Health and Human Services Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration to understand the current cost of child care in New Hampshire and the resources providers need to offer quality care across the state.

The rising cost of child care is a real challenge for New Hampshire families. Our staff regularly help families connect with the NH Child Care Scholarship Program, which provides critical assistance helping to make child care more affordable.

Growing use of the program speaks to the continued need for resources that help families access the care they need to work, learn, and thrive.

Yesterday Youth Action Board members Lily and Decan represented young people at the NH Youth Homeless Summit at Saint Anselm College. Alongside peers from the Front Door Agency and the Youth Success Project, they shared their lived experiences, spoke candidly about the realities of youth homelessness in New Hampshire, and offered ideas for change. The voices of young people are essential to understanding the challenges they face and shaping solutions that work.

Thank you to Mayor Ruais (Manchester), Mayor Grassie (Rochester), and Mayor McEachern (Portsmouth) for signing the pledge to address youth homelessness in their communities.
