Manchester Moves is an annual campus initiative that brings faculty and staff together to promote healthy habits, build community, and raise funds that directly benefit student scholarships. Now entering its ninth year, we are quite literally “moving for our students.” Over the past eight years, the Manchester community has raised more than $25,600 to support our students and their educational goals.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) hosted a book sale at CT State Manchester, offering students and members of the campus community an opportunity to browse and purchase books while supporting the organization. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make the sale a success!

CT State Manchester faculty, staff and students came together to celebrate the official kickoff of the fall semester with Coffee & Conversation. Guests enjoyed coffee, tea, delicious treats and great conversation while connecting with colleagues and celebrating the start of another exciting semester. ☕️

CT State Manchester enjoyed a great morning of Coffee with Campus Cops outside the Cougar Café! Students, faculty, and staff stopped by for coffee, donuts, conversation, and a chance to connect with those who help keep our campus community safe.

A special guest was Beacon from the East Hartford Police Department, who definitely made some new friends during his visit! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make the event a success.

🎨 Celebrating Our Artist Faculty at CT State Manchester!

CT State Manchester’s ORIGIN/practice: Faculty Art Exhibition, on display in the Hans Weiss Newspace Gallery, brought together the work of 17 talented artist faculty from our Visual Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, and Photography programs.

Working across a wide range of media, the participating artists explored ideas of observation, abstraction, memory, material, landscape, identity, history, craft, and experimentation. The exhibition highlighted not only the diversity of their individual artistic practices, but also the creativity and curiosity they bring to their students and classrooms.

The campus community gathered this evening for an Artist Reception in the Hans Weiss Newspace Gallery, celebrating the exhibition and the faculty artists whose work made it possible.

CT State Manchester marked Constitution Day with a special lecture featuring Attorney Richard Voigt. During his presentation, “The Constitution Is a Gamble. Are We Losing It?”, Voigt explored the U.S. Constitution, the challenges it faces, and its continuing role in American democracy. The event brought members of the campus community together for a timely and thought-provoking discussion in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium.

CT State Manchester celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with an afternoon filled with music, food, fun, and community! Students, faculty, and staff gathered in the Auditorium and AST Rotunda to celebrate Hispanic culture and heritage together.

The Cougar Pantry at CT State Manchester celebrated an incredible milestone this year—10 years of supporting our campus community! For a decade, the pantry provided students with access to food and essential resources, helping ensure that students could focus on their education and succeed. With the generous support of Connecticut Foodshare and the Stop & Shop School Food Pantry Program, the Cougar Pantry continued its important mission of addressing food insecurity and supporting students in need. We were proud to celebrate 10 years of compassion, community, and Cougars helping Cougars!

We kicked off the semester at CT State Manchester with food, music, games, and plenty of good vibes at our Welcome Back Fest! 🎉
Students reconnected with friends, met new faces, and celebrated the start of a new semester. It was a great day to come together, have some fun, and welcome our Cougars back to campus!
