❤️‍🔥Came in with a grown out cut looking a little like the Lord… guy from Shrek.💚
Ended with a fully done razored pixie… that fits her perfectly.

💇🏻‍♀️ Doing hair isn’t just color. I realized I don’t really go into the cuts all that much and idk why. I have a million pictures of them on my phone…

A bad cut will throw color completely off. Placement wise, blend wise. Haircuts are booked all on their own. (Like this one)
Most of the time a cut is booked along with the color. With one in between color appointments.

So here’s a little breakdown…

I’m only 4’10 so no one gets that fancy blowout from me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The blow dryer hits me directly in the face, it’s not a fun time. I’ll make it smooth and shinny. Then I’ll add the extra with my wand.

🤗I mention that part because it did make me look at different angles.
No matter the hair texture, no matter the service, hair is a puzzle, laying the right pieces where they fit so it can be completed. I start with that even border then fit the rest together. I also prefer a razor and dry hair.

Looking at how the hair lays naturally on the head. You can’t see that when it’s weighed down with water. You can’t fully see how it will move. How it will shape the face when dried and styled.

💥Most importantly, how our clients are going to style their hair at home!!
Idk many that are doing salon style blowouts at home. 😉

Which do you prefer? Light or Dark.
Both show the color off in different ways.
Neither are edited. Just different places, and positions.

Before I came in like a wrecking ball… or sledgehammer (literally). I needed to open up the space.
Other than the ceiling and floor, -for now- Every single thing has been “tweaked” I’m talking down to the outlets. No wall is the same. Things that shouldn’t match, but they do.
A little bit of chaos add lots of ✨sparkle, unicorns and skulls all over, then frame it up and finish it off with a lot of color!

When extensions look so good! 1 row with 3 20”weft extensions. Great way to add a pop of some color, even if it is slight.

A helpful secret for humans that want

Inspiration pictures are the most fun when they aren’t of hair!
When you do colors like this, they’re fun and they bring out your inner badass!!
I want to see pictures, where the colors are what drew you in!
It can be multiple pictures of multiple things, there’s always going to be common ground.
When it’s another stylist's artwork, yes it’s matchable-ish.
But you need to keep in mind it will never be the same.
You’re not the same human in the picture and I’m not the same artist behind the chair.
I’m not saying “don’t show me hair inspiration” 100% please show me.
Instead of showing me one, show me multiple pictures of the same idea, by multiple artists.
That’s how I like to communicate to get where you want to go. manchesternhartist

To get there I mixed a few of colors.
Root: Dopamine w/ a little Burnout and Hysteria
Blue: Solitude and Vertigo -Oh yea I’m still hoarding a couple boxes-
Purple: Libertine, Lovesick with a dash of Hysteria

I haven’t fully disappeared… I’ve definitely been taking a break from posting and all the work that comes along with it. Working late nights and just rolling through. So here’s a nice photo dump of a few projects. A mix of color, curls, extensions, blonde and haircuts… just BOOM here you go.
