One of the most common questions I get asked a lot is "What's the best age to start lessons?". While children can start as young as 6 or 7 with private lessons, it can depend on a few factors. The parents will usually have to be involved, making sure they understand what to practice and that they do practice. Also if they can't sit still for 10 minutes, you should probably wait! 🤣

A great way to practice an instrument is to use a daily routine that balances technical exercises with playing songs you enjoy. Consistency is more important than duration! Practicing for just 15–20 minutes every day is more effective for building muscle memory than one long session once a week.
