In November, Greek Mythology and Latin students attended Classics Day at Saint Anselm College and, in December, National Art and English Honor Society students visited the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA. This past weekend, CHAOS, Central’s robotics team, won in the Ganson division as the captain of the second seed alliance at the New England District Championship. CHAOS is ranked 6th out of 215 teams for the season. The team is headed to the World Championships in Texas April 17-20.
Central’s team was founded in 1992 soon after Dean Kamen founded FIRST. Senior team member Caiden Bryde said: “This team wouldn’t be possible without our amazing mentors who helped us get the opportunity to go to the world championship.”
Among these mentors are longtime Central teachers Nancy and David Kelso, who have been involved with the program since the 1990s. Central science teacher C.J. Chretien is the current team advisor.
The Central Pride Foundation is happy to support the program so that all team
members can participate in the World Championships. Congratulations, CHAOS and best of luck at Worlds!!

Yesterday at our Central Pride Foundation board meeting we received numerous beautiful thank you cards from CHS students. These cards were sent for our contribution to the English department for a field trip to UNH to see a modern take on William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It.” We are happy to have helped provide students with this opportunity!

The Central Pride Foundation - CPF was happy to facilitate the installation of plaques in McAllaster Hall to denote the memorial banners. The first two banners, honoring Central graduates who served and those who were killed in action in WWI and WWII, were placed in the 1940s. The newer banners were placed in 2012 and commemorate those Central graduates who were killed in action in the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the War on Terrorism. We are grateful to the generous benefactor for providing us the funds to install these plaques.
