Lotus leaf painting class! Sat Apr 5th 12:00pm - 3:00pm Join us for a one-of-a-kind painting experience that combines creativity with the natural beauty of Thailand! In this class, each participant will work on a unique wooden board adorned with delicate lotus leaves that have been handpicked, soaked, and arranged with care. What makes this experience truly special is the texture and appearance of these leaves, which creates an incredible backdrop for your artwork. The lotus leaves are carefully soaked in a special solution to keep them fresh and vibrant, ensuring that every board feels alive with nature as you begin to paint. You'll have all the tools you need at your fingertips: high-quality acrylic paints, a variety of brushes, sponges, and aprons to protect your clothing. Don’t worry if you’re new to painting—there’s no right or wrong way to express yourself in this class! The texture of the leaves makes it easy for anyone, regardless of experience, to create stunning and eye-catching pieces. Please keep our community in your prayers. Our oldest Amma, Sister Andrea Verchuck, passed away today after more than 75 years of monastic life. We are rejoicing for her and sad for us. She has been our heart and soul, wisdom and leader. Now she is our champion in heaven. Her obituary and service details can be found in the attachment. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
