Maize FCCLA

We spent a couple of hours sorting clothes at Maslow's this week. This is a great community resource for Maize families!

Maize FCCLA was able to send gifts to a few families on this list. Can you help them finish up?

Maize FCCLA members attended the District I Fall Leadership Conference hosted right here in Maize.
We are ready to go out and "Be the Light" in our community!

These FCCLA members had a great evening collecting items for Maslow's pantry. Thank you to our community for the donations!

If you'd like to donate to Maslow's, they are really in need of grab and go snacks, canned proteins, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, and similar items. There is a deck box in the back of the house at 123 Academy where you can place it at your convenience.

We are doing our annual Trick or Treat event next Tuesday! We are collecting items for our district pantry. We are really in need of the items on this list- if you have any to spare, families in our district are so appreciative! Thank you.

FCCLA members celebrated May Day by delivering flowers to a local nursing home. The kids enjoyed a little fun in the sun while they were out!

2025 Kansas State Leadership Conference is wrapped, and Madisen is now installed as the District I Secretary! We judged Cake Decorating and Hospitality and Tourism, and saw a lot of talented and brave kids competing!

We have a full slate of new officers this year and they got started with our first fundraiser this week!
President: Madisen
First VP: Ella
VP of Development & Membership: Wyatt & Harry
VP of Recreation: Bailey
VP of Public Relations: Jaylianna
VP of Community Service: Carcyn

Next up: Trick or Treat so Kids can Eat- we will share more information soon!
Then: Fall Leadership Conference

We are off to a strong start with some amazing kids!

Maize High School FCCLA Members participated in the day of service today- thank you to Dr. Botts for promoting community service amongst our students!
They baked for first responders and city workers and then got to deliver them. Like Julie Koehn said this morning, it feels good to serve other people and all of our small acts across the community today add up to a big impact!

Tatum has finished her Culinary competition here at National Leadership Conference in Seattle! We have had a great time seeing the sights and eating good food. And the weather can't be beat!
