Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for ensuring the timely collection of payments from customers, accurately recording transactions, and maintaining effective communication with clients to resolve any payment discrepancies or issues. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing accounts receivable efficiently.
Responsibilities:
-Generate and issue invoices to customers based on sales orders and contractual agreements.
-Monitor accounts receivable aging to identify overdue accounts and initiate collection efforts.
-Follow up with customers via phone, email, or mail to secure timely payments.
-Reconcile payments received with invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
-Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes promptly.
-Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
-Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries or issues related to invoicing and payments.
-Prepare reports on accounts receivable status and aging for management review.
-Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the accounts receivable process.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
-Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
-Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
-Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Quickbooks.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
