In a world where it seems like everything can be manipulated electronically, I feel an enhanced appreciation for the dimensionality of physical items. I believe that most designers choose this profession for a love of physical materials that you can experience in person. We believe in the power of materials to affect people both physically and emotionally. In my business, it feels evermore important to travel to antique shows and go to furniture market, as our physical world will always be what affects our daily lives most.

For this reason, one of my favorite aspects of completing a space is the sensorial process of moving and adjusting accessories- the final process that makes a house feel like a home. Using my hands and eyes to achieve balance of form and color feels like a muscle that I have practiced and refined over the years. It is this tactility that has become sacred in today’s world.

I feel fortunate to be in a profession that involves physical objects, furniture, fabrics, and materials, as these are reminders that we live in real spaces with all of our senses.

I have always had a passion for the intersection of rustic charm and clean, contemporary lines. Working with a client who embodied that vision for her home has been a fun and fulfilling experience. Together, we brought to life a home filled with too many favorite spaces to count.

This captivating laundry room features textured clay brick floors, which we brought onto the walls as well for added dimension. Wood countertops and ceilings contrast an iron lantern for an intentional mixture of natural materials. A live edge wood shelf over the bench adds just the right amount of visual disruption to this linear space.

Ready just in time for summer memories, this clean, crisp exterior is softened by rugged concrete tables and neutral, timeless textiles. A firewall separates the sitting area from the pool, all overlooking a beautiful lake. Who’s ready to jump in?

Welcome to the master bedroom of our most recently completed project in Bender’s Landing. We layered textiles, plaster, stone, and wood within the same space to create a serene atmosphere rooted in organic materials. We believe in the power of nature’s materials to calm the psyche, all the while evading trends. Stay tuned as we reveal the rest of this newly completed masterpiece.
