❄️ Hard Freeze Coming? Don’t Let It Freeze Your Pool (or Your Wallet!) ❄️

A deep freeze can cause major damage if your pool isn’t prepped. Here’s how to protect it before temps drop 👇

💧 Keep the water moving
Run your pump continuously during freezing temps. Moving water = less chance of frozen (and busted) pipes.

🔌 Turn on freeze protection
If your system has freeze mode, make sure it’s enabled and working now, not when it’s already icy.

🧴 Check water levels
Make sure water is at the proper level so skimmers and pumps don’t run dry.

🧼 Clean it first
Skim debris and empty baskets—clogs during a freeze are bad news.

🧣 Insulate exposed equipment
Wrap pipes, valves, and pumps with towels, foam, or pool equipment covers for extra protection.

⚡ Have a power-out plan
If power is lost, know how to quickly drain exposed lines to prevent freezing. We recommend after 12 hours or no power to start draining pool equipment.
