This is one of the things that makes our rescue so different. 🥹🐾
We don’t just want to rescue cats—we want to understand them and let them be cats.
We love bringing out their inner kitty and showing people the things they naturally do, while also teaching a little about where cats come from and the instincts they were born with. 🐈⬛
Because when you understand a cat’s natural behaviors and what they actually need, you understand them on a whole different level. 🤍
This is the kind of rescue we want Magnolia Tails to be. Not just a place that saves cats, but a place that celebrates who they are. 🐾

$70 Adoption Weekend
Our longest residents deserve a chance, too. ❤️
This weekend, we’re reducing the adoption fee on our longest-resident cats and kittens to just $70 in hopes of finally helping them find the loving forever homes they’ve been waiting for.
Some of these babies have watched other cats come into rescue, get adopted, and leave for their families while they’re still waiting for someone to choose them. We know the right family is out there — we just need to help them find each other.
This weekend only: Adoption fees reduced to $70 for our longest residents.
If you’ve been thinking about adding a new member to your family, please consider giving one of these deserving cats a chance. They have so much love to give and are ready for their forever chapter.

🖤 HELP US HELP THIS LITTLE GIRL 🖤
We just rescued this sweet solid-black kitty who has a severe upper respiratory infection. 💔 We’re getting her treated ASAP, but as a small rescue, the medical costs add up quickly.
When we saw that no one else was stepping up for her, we couldn’t leave her behind. 🥺🐾

Aurora and Vernon were not happy about getting fixed 🫣🐾❤️
💔 They were left behind.
Two mama cats were abandoned after their owners moved away. They weren’t spayed, and as a result, they had kittens — kittens they never should have had to bring into this world because of irresponsible ownership.
When we found out about them, we couldn’t just walk away.
We couldn’t leave two nursing mama cats outside to fend for themselves, especially in this Texas heat, while they were trying to feed and protect their babies. They were hungry, frightened, and completely confused about what was happening to them.
So we took them in. ❤️
Now, we’re not only caring for two abandoned mama cats, but also the kittens who depend on them.
The kittens didn’t ask for this.
The mamas didn’t ask for this.
They don’t understand why their family disappeared or why their entire world suddenly changed.
But they do know they are safe now. They are indoors, away from the heat, predators, hunger, and the dangers of trying to survive on their own.
This is exactly why spaying and neutering matters.
Every year, countless cats and kittens end up abandoned, dumped outside, surrendered to shelters, or left to fend for themselves because someone allowed an unwanted litter to happen.
And when those kittens are born, rescues like ours are left trying to pick up the pieces.
We will always do our best to help the animals who need us, but we cannot do it alone. 🥺
🐾 We are urgently looking for fosters who can open their homes to help these mamas and babies.
💙 We are also asking for donations to help cover the cost of food, litter, medical care, deworming, vaccines, spays/neuters, and everything else these babies will need.
They were abandoned because someone else made an irresponsible choice.
We refuse to let that be the reason their story ends badly.

🐾 URGENT: SPECIAL NEEDS SENIOR CAT LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME OR PERMANENT FOSTER 🐾
Meet Slim 🖤 — a sweet senior gentleman who has been looking for the right home for the past three months.
Slim is estimated to be around 8 years old and is a loving, routine-loving boy who would really thrive in a calm, stable home. Unfortunately, his current family is unable to keep him because their resident cat has not accepted him, and his owner’s husband is a kidney transplant patient who is awaiting a second transplant.
💔 They love Slim very much and want to make sure he goes somewhere safe and loving.
Slim does have some special needs that his future family will need to understand:
🐱 Approximately 8 years old
🖤 Sweet, affectionate boy
🦷 Missing his bottom teeth on the right side, so he eats wet food
🍽️ Loves having meals 4 times a day and will definitely let you know when he’s hungry — he’s quite the talker! 😂
🛏️ Loves settling down for a nap after meals
💕 LOVES belly rubs and cuddles
🏡 Does best with a predictable routine
💉 Rabies vaccinated
🧪 FIV & FeLV negative
🪱 Dewormed
💩 Recent f***l float was negative for parasites
💉 Due for his boosters in approximately 3 weeks, and his current family will make sure he receives them
We are looking for either a permanent foster or, ideally, a loving forever home where Slim can spend his golden years feeling safe, comfortable and cherished. 🥹🖤
He doesn’t need anything fancy — just someone willing to give this sweet boy the patience, routine, love and care he deserves.

Pregnant and nursing mama cats have BIG nutritional needs — and that’s why we recommend feeding them kitten food! 🐱🍼
Kitten food is specially formulated to be higher in calories, protein, fat, and essential nutrients than regular adult cat food. Mama cats need that extra nutrition to:
✨ Support healthy pregnancy and growth
🍼 Help produce nutritious milk for their babies
💪 Maintain their own strength and body condition
❤️ Replenish the nutrients their bodies use while nursing
Nursing mama cats can burn through a LOT of calories feeding a litter, so having plenty of nutritious food available is incredibly important!
🐱 A well-fed mama = stronger, healthier kittens!

Magnolia Tails Rescue and our amazing foster families are running LOW on litter — we only have a couple of bags left on our shelves! 😭
With all of the cats and kittens in our care, litter is something we go through incredibly quickly. So this week, we’re setting a BIG goal:

That may sound like a lot, but if our amazing supporters each grabbed just one bag, we could get there! 🥹❤️
Every bag donated helps stock our rescue shelves AND helps us send litter home with our foster families so they can continue caring for their fosters without having to worry about supplies.
