We had such an incredible weekend at JoyRide Center welcoming a new group of volunteers to the JoyRide family! 🤠💙
Under the guidance of our amazing staff, our new volunteers learned the ins and outs of volunteering at JoyRide and got hands-on experience to help prepare them for the meaningful and enriching experiences ahead as we head into the fall semester.
We are so excited to welcome these new faces to the barn and cannot wait to see all the ways they will make an impact in the lives of our riders, clients, and horses! 🐴✨

💜Last week, PREP excitedly returned to JoyRide Center to kickoff the Fall semester. 🍂
There was so much joy in every space they occupied. Not just in getting to reunite with our amazing horses 🐴, resume their martial arts 🥋, or get back to making wonderful music 🎶 but in getting to see one another again. The hugs and smiles you see are those of a one-of-a-kind family. A family whose experiences we are so excited to further share with you. ❤💜

Meet Big John! 🐴
💜 Big John is a handsome sorrel Quarter Horse who was foaled in 2011. He joined the JoyRide Center herd through the Texas Prison Horse Rescue Program and has quickly become a favorite among riders, volunteers, and staff alike. ❤
Known for his gentle, easygoing personality, Big John is truly a lovable gentle giant who enjoys spending quiet time with his people and thrives on patience, consistency, and positive interactions. Whether you're grooming, hand grazing, or simply keeping him company, your time with him helps strengthen the bond you share. 🐴🤝
Big John is excited to see everyone again as we gear up for more riding! 🐎

Today, JoyRide Center wishes a very happy 3 Year Workaversary to Wendy and Travis! 🎉
As PREP manager, Mrs. Wendy has brought smiles to the faces of every client who has come through our doors. Every activity, craft, field trip, and memory made is a show of not only her dedication to what we do, but her love for those we serve from a big heart with lots to go around. 💜 🤝
As the behind-the-scenes powerhouse of JoyRide, our facility manager Travis ensures that everything on our grounds is in tip top shape. In meeting every need that our horses and grounds may have, Travis knows JoyRide like the back of his hand and it wouldn't be a space as accommodating or tranquil as it is without his hard work. 💛🚜

With each mock lesson and training session, our herd strives to give our clients the safest, most rewarding experience when our riding program returns this fall! 🐴🐎🍂
The faces you see in this video are the same who will guide our clients and horses every step of the way. Jessica, our lead instructor, joined us in January and has been giving it her all this summer with every mock lesson. She is assited by Mr. Ken who has been ready to lend a hand at JoyRide Center since 2023. Our other rockstar in mock lessons this season is Mark, who joined our herd in 2019, filling any and all positions needed to make our classes go smoothly. And when it comes to PREP EAL, Christina is a star, acting as their horse handler for many semesters now. We are thrilled to have her back once again!
JoyRide Center wouldn't be where it is today without the hard work of our instructors and amazing volunteers. Thank you all so, so much for the dedication that you have shown us year after year! 💜🐴

Mrs. Wendy and Mrs. Joy are not only ecstatic to see everyone again, but are eager for them to experience all of the activities they've been planning all summer long. The bond that our PREP team shares is one of the greatest strengths of JoyRide Center. The smiles shared and the memories made are moments that will last forever in the hearts of everyone who makes PREP a one-of-a-kind program. 💜💛❤💚
